Course Description

Develop a strong understanding of nail structure, function, and common nail conditions in this foundational nail education course. Nail Anatomy and Disorders introduces students to the parts of the natural nail, how healthy nails grow, and how to recognize visible changes that may affect professional nail services.

Students will explore key nail anatomy terms, nail growth patterns, common disorders and irregularities, client observation practices, and when a condition may require referral to a licensed medical professional. The class emphasizes safe, informed decision-making so students can better protect clients, provide appropriate services, and communicate confidently in a salon setting.
