0:00-0:10 Welcome, agenda, and quick review of AI capabilities and limitations. 0:10-0:25 Demonstration: compare vague, specific, and context-rich prompts using the same task. 0:25-0:45 Mini-lesson: prompt building blocks including task, context, role, audience, tone, constraints, and output format. 0:45-1:05 Guided practice: learners improve weak prompts for everyday, educational, and workplace scenarios. 1:05-1:15 Break. 1:15-1:35 Context-building activity: learners add background information, examples, source material, and success criteria to prompts. 1:35-1:50 Pair practice: exchange prompts, test clarity, and suggest improvements. 1:50-2:00 Debrief, key takeaways, assignment preview, and preparation for the next meeting on refining responses and prompt templates.
Requirements
Learners should bring a laptop or tablet with internet access, access to an approved conversational AI tool, and one everyday or workplace task they would like help prompting. Instructor should provide sample weak prompts, prompt revision worksheet, and classroom projection for live demonstrations.
