Register using your legal name and current contact information so results can be matched to your learner record. Before beginning, review the exam scope: basic medical terminology for entry-level healthcare support work, including word parts, body systems, directional terms, common abbreviations, and safe communication. The exam is self-grading, timed at 75 minutes, and allows one submitted attempt unless an approved accommodation or administrative reset applies. Scores and item responses may be retained for quality review, verification, audit, and result-sharing that you authorize. You may share your completion result with an employer, training provider, or workforce program, but the Academy does not promise employment, licensure, or recognition by an outside credentialing body.

Who should apply

Eligible candidates are adults or approved workforce learners who are preparing for, entering, or refreshing skills for CNA-aligned, personal care, patient services, medical office support, home care aide, transporter, dietary aide, environmental services, or similar entry-level healthcare settings. Candidates should be able to read routine workplace instructions in English and complete an online exam independently. No nursing license, medication-administration authorization, or advanced clinical training is required or assessed. Candidates must agree to answer independently and to use terminology within role boundaries.

Evidence to prepare

Primary evidence is the completed online exam record, including total score, section scores, timestamp, attestation, and self-graded answer record. If requested for verification, candidates may provide a government, school, or employer photo ID; proof of enrollment or workforce-program participation; or an employer/training-program contact who can confirm the candidate's role or training context. No patient records, protected health information, or employer-confidential documents should be uploaded.

Access policy: This certification is free. Submit the application to unlock the exam immediately; a passing result remains subject to final review.
