The exam is delivered online and self-graded. Candidates should use a private setting and may not collaborate, copy questions, or use unauthorized aids. Exam records, including responses, score reports, attestation, attempt history, and audit metadata, may be retained by the Academy for verification, quality assurance, appeals, and compliance review according to institutional retention policy. Results may be shared with the candidate and, only when authorized by the candidate or required by the sponsoring program, with the relevant school, training sponsor, or workforce program administrator. Passing this exam documents Academy-recognized skill attainment only and does not guarantee employment, licensure, clinical privileging, or an external credential.

Eligible candidates should be students, trainees, or workforce participants preparing for healthcare-adjacent roles that may involve AI-assisted documentation, patient communication support, care coordination, operations, quality improvement, analytics, or administrative workflows. Candidates should be able to explain confidentiality expectations, distinguish AI assistance from licensed clinical judgment, recognize unsafe or biased AI outputs, follow escalation procedures, and apply human review before AI-generated content affects a patient, chart, billing record, or operational decision.
Evidence to prepare
For this standalone skills exam, the primary evidence is the completed online exam attempt and applicant attestation. Candidates may be asked to provide identity or enrollment confirmation if required by the sponsoring program. No patient records, employer documents, protected health information, screenshots from live clinical systems, or proprietary AI prompts are required or permitted as evidence. If an accommodation or technical issue is reported, supporting documentation may be requested through the Academy’s standard review process.
