Class Overview

Class Description

This second-week class advances the same integrated business plan created in Week 1 by testing whether the business can find customers and build the right organization to serve them. A marketing/HR professional reviews each learner’s business overview, mission, value proposition, business-model summary, owner assessment, and initial goals, then identifies revisions from a market and workforce perspective.

Across two 120-minute meetings, learners define target customers, market needs, competitors, differentiation, positioning, marketing channels, sales strategy, staffing needs, responsibilities, organizational structure, workplace culture, hiring priorities, training needs, compensation considerations, and employer branding. The class prepares learners to complete the Week 2 assignment: a target-customer profile, competitor comparison, marketing and sales plan, initial organizational chart, and staffing plan.

Feedback from this week is documented for the CPA instructor in Week 3 so financial projections can be based on realistic customer, revenue, labor, and staffing assumptions.
