Course Description

This 10-hour hybrid-capable course helps adult Spanish-speaking ESL learners use practical English in common workplace situations. Learners build language for job areas, coworkers, schedules, shift routines, workplace notices, supervisor instructions, rules, safety signs, teamwork, clarification, and problem reporting.

The course emphasizes listening, speaking, reading, and short workplace writing through role-plays, simulations, notices, schedules, and simple reporting tasks. Instruction includes strategic Spanish-language scaffolding while increasing English use, with attention to imperatives, can/can’t, have to, simple present, third-person verbs, prepositions, TH sounds, final consonants, word stress, and respectful workplace tone.
