0:00-0:10 Welcome, lab goals, and setup check. 0:10-0:25 Instructor demonstration of vertex, edge, and face selection with common beginner mistakes. 0:25-0:45 Guided exercise 1: edit a simple primitive using face selection and extrusion. 0:45-1:05 Guided exercise 2: add insets and bevels while preserving readable form. 1:05-1:15 Short break and file save checkpoint. 1:15-1:40 Guided exercise 3: use loop cuts to support shape control and add detail. 1:40-1:55 Pair or table review: identify clean edits, accidental distortions, and areas needing refinement. 1:55-2:00 Wrap-up, assignment reminder, and next-step preparation for geometry troubleshooting.
Requirements
Learners need access to the course 3D modeling software, a workstation capable of basic viewport navigation and mesh editing, a mouse or drawing input device suitable for 3D work, and their saved practice files. Instructor should prepare starter primitive files, a projector or screen share, and a short checklist covering selection mode, extrusion direction, bevel amount, loop cut placement, and file organization.
