0-10 min: Welcome, session goals, and review of material and lighting vocabulary. 10-25 min: Instructor demonstration of assigning materials, adjusting color and roughness, and checking contrast between parts. 25-45 min: Guided practice applying materials to learner models with instructor support. 45-60 min: Demonstration of basic light placement, intensity adjustment, and shadow review. 60-85 min: Learners add or adjust lights in their own scenes and compare before-and-after readability. 85-105 min: Pair review focused on whether materials and lights make the model easier to understand. 105-115 min: Instructor troubleshooting and whole-group discussion of common improvements. 115-120 min: Wrap-up, save/export reminder, and connection to the upcoming camera and render review session.
Requirements
Learners should bring their current 3D model file, have access to the required 3D modeling software in the Training Lab, and be prepared to save an updated version with materials and lighting applied. Instructor should provide sample material settings, a basic lighting reference, and access to lab workstations or equivalent software setup.
